The brothers Luigi and Ferdinando Bocconi, founders of the Bocconi Economy University of Milan, were the the initiators of the 1865 opened first department store for trademark-clothing in Milan.
The idea had been a great success and in 1917 Gabriele D'Annunzio established La Rinascente as a space where artists could praising their high quality articles in departments. La Rinascente has become the top in department store in Piazza del Duomo on 8 floors.
The shop-in-shop system design combines important brands under one roof.

The top floor of the department store La Rinascente is the delicatessen department, which is open daily until 12:00 pm. In the food market to buy the finest creations, also possible in the gift basket as a "a small present".
